P.s.: I find it "surreal"...her singing while holding a cigarette and taking a drag when she has the opportunity... Yes, I have played quite a few alternative songs along the way ... I had a sort of 'musical re-awakening' in the late 90's by watching "Alternative Nation" on MTV ... many of the alternative songs of the late 90's were similar to the bands I loved during the late 60's when I was young .. Today, I find new music on Youtube, using suggestions, related videos etd. Not many are interested in indie/Alternative pop-rock, unfortunately - most people I know are either blues-rock or jazz fans .. Anyway, the style of Portishead made me think of Cigarettes after Sex - a dream pop band .. Yes, @sneræven I also think it's a form of expression. Some actors, for example, are very charming and convincing in some scenes while smoking, and in the case of singing while smoking, it's a way of expressing that they're very comfortable with what they do...even though for me singing and smoking don't go together… And in the same "trip-hop" style as Portishead, the next song “Teardrop" by Massive Attack feat. Soothsayer 347 Skrevet 6. September (edited) Ok bare with me , I'm going to answer bothh sneræven and Rafaela...I love Massive Attack , but Tricky is the legend of that group and it's not bad afterwards, but a little of the magic dissappered after he left. And Maxinquaye will always be in my top ten of fav albums. Tricky of course both produced and dated icelandic Björk of Sugarcubes fame...A break-up he called the biggest mistake of his life. Who could blame him... Which leads me to what I'm listening to right now recorded in Iceland and supported by Sigur Ros... Death Vessel - Ejecta from their Island Intervals record. True trifecta of excellence and these lyrics will forever haunt my soul. The water will casually follow its route (Route) The caged bird will gradually go cuckoo (Cuckoo) Well, the water will actually fill the whole room (Room) And the bird will be better off flying the coop (Coo) Hope you're all enjoying your weekeend and sorry for making you waiting...Life happened. Soothsayer 347 Skrevet 7. September Sunday Comes Alone Again A Perfect day for a quiet friend. Sunday Comes and Sunday Goes Sunday always seems to move so slow The first vid shows how underrated and experimenting a guitarist Lee Ranaldo is, often forgotten because of Gordon and Moore had all the attention in Sonic Youth The next is l'Enfant Terrible film director Harmony Korines video starring a grown up Macauley Culkin with then wife Rachel Miner ,although 28 years at the time, he will always look like a kid to me and Korine has this weird but fantastic way of making beauty out of something rather ordinary or even ugly. 1 Citér indlæg Del dette indlæg Link til indlæg

Soothsayer 347 Skrevet 9. September Lol Rafaela it's actually amazing how many of that man's muses he's actually dated, for me "Birdy" will always be my fav This song even has a connection to Denmark I saw Tricky at a Concert in 2000 performing his Maxinquaye album , he spent 15% of the concert facing the audience the other 85% with his back to us only turning to show his head going in all kind of crazy places in slow mo fog..I stood around Danish Hip hop royalty(not naming names) listening to the concert , we where only like 1400 people at the concert and it was clear it affected us all tremendously , 20 years later I hooked up with a girl simply because she had the same experience at the same time Karmacoma/Overcome btw Tricky January Massive Attack March, so overcome was first. Funny thing about the Karmacoma official video was it was directed by none other than Jonathan Glazer in his his first big music video which was a mesh between Quentin Tarantino and Stanley Kubrick, Glazer went on to direct music vids like The Universal By Blur, Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai, Into My Arms Nick Cave , Karma police by Radiohead and Unkle with Thomas Yorke Rabbit in your headlight. MY fav Collab between 3D and Tricky in Massive Attack of course started with 1 minute of crickets Funny thing about Tricky(because you mentioned a lot of musical genres) but the man considered himself post punk Funny thing about the Karmacoma official video was it was directed by none other than Jonathan Glazer in his his first big music video which was a mesh between Quentin Tarantino and Stanley Kubrick, Glazer went on to direct music vids like The Universal By Blur, Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai, Into My Arms Nick Cave , Karma Police by Radiohead and rabbit in your headlights by Tho Yorke and Unkle before the went on the insyruct controversial films like Sexy beast, Birth and Under the skin. Sadly, this is going to be my last post, I simply cannot use Eroguides message board features anymore , I've never experienced anything more retarded than this message board, if I make a smiley from my phone or computer I can't erase it and I have to use Eroguides smileys to be approved. I've had enough ...I can't even post once I've finally gotten it to erase the post because of timeout on my profile...I've never wanted to break something as bad as I do now. Hope the best for all of you but this antiquated message board can find a place where it smells funny... You're great people continue being that... 1 1 Citér indlæg Del dette indlæg Link til indlæg
