Another one of my favorite bands from when I was a young. That was before headbanging became modern :D
This one still sticks with me. It's a classic in Heavy Metal.

Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast (1982):

  • Thanks for sharing @sneræven  I understand what you mean...and yes, there is a big difference growing up in such different places. The name "Childhood Street" is already deeply poetic…The stree

The following song is not exactly about the “childhood street” but it is interconnected since the lyrics reveal the idea of a vicious cycle that affects many poor boys.

Anyway, I love this song…<3

The Animals - House Of The Rising Sun

As far as I can tell, the song is about drug abuse,
I myself think that the scale of drug abuse, and the crime related to it, is a huge problem for all of us, for the human race as such ... same scale as climate change  ...
Maybe it's easy for me to say, since drug use never tempted me. Probably a good thing by being slightly autistic.

Anyway, you can also have a slightly humerous approach to the problem, To sit down and cry, doesn't help anyone ...

I completely agree and I find it “worrying”, not to say “scary”, to reflect on this, because the ones in “command of the planet” are the species “human beings”…I won’t even go into detail about what I think about this…

And…I really love this song and the lyrics suggest, among other things, that just as dolphins communicate in complex and emotional ways, humans can also connect on deep levels through love...<3

Great song - read the lyrics.
I believe that most human beings have a basic instinct of love - in the sense of trust, curiosity and the urge to help a person ... ...
I have been a teacher all my working life.
And I have often been impressed by the way people who do not know each other at all, very easily can work together about a project ...
Seems like in general, the immedeate feeling when meeting new people is trust, not fear and agression ..
We should work together on stimulating such situations - art and music are great ways to do it ...
Community gardening and communak dining too, is my experiance ...
And not give up on it, even though the times are against ud ...

We have been talking about both psycedelic pop and the time around 1989 ...
Those were really magic years, it seems, - with so much hope and optimism - this song from Tears for Fears is from '89 ...
But we must never give up sowing the seeds of love - by getting to know each other in spite of differences, working together or just talking .

Nice sang @sneræven, den havde jeg glemt.

Drugs are a cancer. There is a whole musical genre of songs about drug cartels that are banned in Mexico. Some of them glorify the cartels. I noticed this lyrics: I knew it was dangerous but hunger makes you brave.

A bichoto originally meant a drug lord. Karol G took the word back from its dark origin and changed it to mean a strong and confident girl who loves herself no matter social class or background. Not everyone can achieve greatness so love must be based on inherent properties and not need to be earnt. And that is why she sings that she is untouchable because of her ass, not because she is rich or a drug lord. Here is instead her new love song.

You're right @sneræven and it would be a “perfect world” if many people thought and acted like this, but unfortunately, the world isn't that way...But I do my part for good, and above all, I have a great perception of what's bad. By the way, there's a really good movie about a boy who, inspired by a school assignment, creates a project where people must perform three good deeds for others, without expecting anything in return, simply asking that these people return the favor to three more, thus creating a "chain of good" with the possibility of changing the world with small gestures. Watch it if you can; the movie's name is "Pay It Forward."

And since we can dream of the best... Fantasy is a very emotional song for me, it's about the freedom to dream, the transformative power of imagination, it encourages people to seek personal fulfillment and find victory in their own "fantasy"…:)<3

Thanks for the tip!
What fascinates me are projects where volunteers make projects which make a difference in areas where there isn't much hope for the residents.
I have ssen documentaries about such projects f. ex. in cities in Argentina and in South Africa.
I have another song about the theme of relations between people and love in a more universal sense, which to me is one of the best lyrics ....
And the music is great too
It was made in the mid 00's, not so long after 9-11.
Sheryl Crow has made several songs with an attitude to world problems ..

I have sometimes wondered about the problems that are affecting many in South America vs the often very positive music. Salsa, cumbia, etc, is often exceedingly full of life. But it does not represent everyone. There are (sadly) people who work from morning to late evening and get, in their own words, trash for it.

Her synger hun om indre styrke.

The Who - Behind Blue Eyes (1971):

This is just a little bit, I would say a minimum of the immense talent of Jonathan Davis (lead singer of the band KORN)…<3

Final days (Album: Black Labyrinth - 2018)

The soundtrack for the movie "Queen of the Damned" was co-written and produced by Jonathan Davis. One of my favorite songs, although I like all songs...<3
