I was around the corner when you cancelled. I sat on a bench outside several buildings to find directions to where I was going next. I was absolutely not insistent but said peak out the window if you want to see me first, but followed up with if you're not feeling comfortable that's totally okay. If you get a hint that you don't want to meet someone (be it justified or not), that's fine but next time after you're on the phone let them know right away.
