Review Offers in Exchange for Benefits

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share something that has honestly been weighing on me. Recently, I received an offer of a review in exchange for sexual services. Maybe I’m overreacting, and perhaps in some people’s eyes this is considered normal — but personally, it doesn’t sit right with me.

For me, reviews should reflect real, independent experiences. When something is offered in return, it naturally raises questions about objectivity and fairness. That’s just my perspective.

I’m not sharing the user’s identity, because my intention isn’t to create conflict or attack anyone. I’m also aware that other women may have accepted similar offers, and I don’t want this to negatively affect anyone who may have interacted with him in good faith.

To be honest, this situation really ruined my experience working in Copenhagen. I thought long and hard before posting this, because I know it may lead to mixed reactions. Still, I felt it was important to express how I see it.

If this isn’t the right section, I kindly ask the administrator to move it where appropriate.

Thank you for reading.

What a scammer!

"Influencers" are trying to get freebees all over the business.. Bakers, fun parks, tattooshops etc..

Best advice?

Do your business as you do best, thats the safest way to get nice reviews

Hell no, he should just go screw himself.

Reviews need to be objective, that is also why I never tell someone I'm going to write a review about our meeting in the beginning, only if it's been a good time, I will ask before leaving if she would like me to write a review, in she says no, I skip it. But if it's been a bad experience I will not even give her the opportunity to say no to a review.

That guy, probably doesn't have any followers in here.

You handlede the situation great.

Lpoh, just to be clear, I didn’t intend to use this “help,” but after some consideration (about two hours after the request), I started asking questions to identify the person.

And he is even called "Peter"...

I have been offered discounts for positive reviews some times, but I have always turned those down.

I have at some point also tried that a girl simply grabbed my phone and wrote a positive review of herself, that being after a just ok visit.

We may sometimes think too much of the values of the reviews. I try to be honest when I can, but my focus is always how I felt myself.

That behavior decreases the validity of the reviews. Therefore I'm happy that you @CarolaTheGirl turned down his "offer", as the honest lady that you are. Thank You.

-You are not overreacting at all....and the practice he proposes would make the reviews not trustworthy and useless...

You did the only right thing to do @CarolaTheGirl <3 Not overreacting at all. This guy is beyond pathetic and in the end is taking part in decreasing the value of reviews. You are so awesome for turning him down.

What a douchebag! So his motive for creating reviews on EG is (partly) to get huge discounts. And furthermore I can see that it can even be perceived as extortion/pressure towards the woman. Because what happens if she does not accept? Will he create a false bad review?

He should be exposed and thrown out.

And Peter - if you are reading this: You are a lowlife slimeball.

Believe me, I was very angry too and I wanted to expose him, but there are girls involved who probably used his help, and I don’t want to harm them. It’s a difficult job with a lot of competition, and many women have to support their families and children. They have other priorities, and I would never want to ruin their work. I feel I need to protect them.

We also don’t know which reviews were honest and which were transaction-based.

Sometimes I feel like everyone tries to take advantage of sex workers.

Anyway, I think if he reads other men’s opinions, he might stop doing this.

I’m also worried that some form of revenge against me could still happen.

But thank you all for sharing your thoughts and support!
